Caleb Expeditions´ Terms and Conditions

Caleb Expeditions accepts your booking under the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these carefully. By proceeding with the booking you, “The Client”, are agreeing to the terms and conditions laid out below by Caleb Expeditions, hereafter referred to as “The Company”

Making the booking

  • Once the client and the company have agreed upon the itinerary of the activities, the client must pay a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the trip. At this point, the client will be provided with an email confirmation of the booking.
  • The remaining balance, of 50%, must be paid no later than 14 days prior to the departure of any booking. Upon receipt of the full payment an invoice will be issued. The client is responsible to cover the cost incurred in making the payment (for example through PayPal this is approximately 4%).
  • Prior to making the booking, the client must provide Caleb Expeditions with a written declaration of any health conditions which may affect your ability to complete the planned activities.

Cancelling / amending booking

  • In the event that the client has to cancel the booking and provides fifteen days or less of notice, you are obliged to pay 85% of the total cost of the booking. This is because Caleb Expeditions will not be able to recuperate the costs incurred by this point. This includes cancellations due to Covid-19, other health reasons, travel disruptions etc.
  • If you cancel with more than 30 days of notice you are entitled to a refund of 50%. Alternatively, you can re-arrange your booking for another time which suits you better, at no additional costs.
  • Once the trip is booked, the client may be able to amend the itinerary. However, this depends on availability. Please contact the company in this instance to discuss options.

Preparing for your trip

  • It is the responsibility of the client to ensure you are fit and well for the planned activities.
  • In addition, you must ensure you have the necessary immunisations and visas required for visiting Peru.
  • The client must have in place the necessary insurance to cover the agreed activities. Please ensure that this covers you to the elevation you are planning to go to, and for helicopter evacuation and hospital fees.

Risks and liabilities

  • In the event that the trip has to be cancelled or modified for reasons out with the company´s control, for example due to extreme weather, civil strike, natural disaster etc, then Caleb Expeditions reserves the right to cancel/modify without providing compensation.
  • If the client opts to leave a trip early due to reasons such as poor health, weather conditions or other, this will be treated as a last minute cancellation and the client will not be entitled to any refund. In addition, the client will need to cover any additional costs incurred, for example if a taxi is needed.
  • Your personal belongings are your responsibility for the duration of your trip with Caleb Expeditions. The company and staff will strive to keep these safe for you, however it takes no responsibility for loss, damage or theft. We advise that you keep your valuables (passport, phone, money, camera etc) on your person and have in place the necessary insurance.
