The 5-day trek through the Cordillera Huayhuash offers a unique experience, combining stunning mountain landscapes, high-altitude challenges, and immersion in remote Andean villages. Hike past turquoise lakes, snow-capped peaks, and enjoy breathtaking views of one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world.

Day 1: Huaraz to Carhuacocha
Departure: 2:00 AM from Huaraz for a 6-7 hour drive to Queropalca, crossing a high pass at 4,750 meters.
Trek: 3-4 hour hike (8 km) to the Carhuacocha campsite (4,100 meters).
Day 2: Carhuacocha to Huayhuash
Morning: Hike to the Siula Lakes viewpoint (4,800 meters).
Trek: Continue for 15 km to the Huayhuash campsite (4,300 meters).
Day 3: Huayhuash to Elefante
Morning: Ascend to Trapecio Pass (over 5,000 meters) in 3.5 hours, followed by a 3-hour descent.
Optional: Visit the glacier and multicolored lakes.
Afternoon: Optional hike to San Antonio Pass (5,100 meters).
Overnight: Camp at Elefante (4,400 meters).
Day 4: Elefante to Huayllapa
Morning: Ascend the Santa Rosa Pass (5,200 meters), one of the trek’s most spectacular points, followed by a 5-hour descent.
Afternoon: Arrive in Huayllapa (3,600 meters), with options for local hospedaje (accommodation).
Day 5: Return to Huaraz
Morning: 8-9 hour drive back to Huaraz (or Lima), arriving between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM
