Day 01: Huaraz to Moraine camp at 4850 meters.
Departure from Huaraz at 6:00 am, we will drive toward north side along Callejon de Huaylas until Yungay city then we will deviate toward Llanganuco valley passing by the two amazing Llanganuco lagunas we will then drive to Chopicalqui on the big switchback road up to 4200 meters, from this point we will start walking up toward Moraine camp at 4850 meters. Walk time: 5-6 hours.
Day 02: Moraine camp to Chopicalqui high camp at 5400 meters.
After our breakfast we will start hiking up on the rocky part until the edge of the ice, then we will continue climbing using the easy slopes route until we reach the Chopicalqui high camp on the southwest ridge at 5400 meters. Walk time: 4-5 hours.
Day 03: Chopicalqui high camp to Chopicalqui summit at 6354 meters and then back to Moraine camp at 4850 meters.
SUMMIT DAY, we will have breakfast very early at 1:00 am then we will start climbing up on the south west ridge with some steep portions on snow and ice, after 6 hours climbing up we will reach the top, From the summit we are going to take the most magnificent pictures around us, several peaks such as Pisco, Huandoy, Chacrarraju, Contrahierbas and Peruvian highest peaks Huascaran . Then we will start descending on the same route with rappels on difficult portions to Chopicalqui high camp and then keep going down to Moraine camp for the night at 4850 meters. Walk time: 9-10 hours.
DAY 04: Moraine camp to Huaraz.
After our breakfast we will pick up our stuff and descend gear the Chopicalqui curves, where our private transport will be waiting to drive us to Huaraz. Walk time: 4 hours, Drive Time: 3 hours.
